College Football

College Football

It has been established over the years that Dragon Con and college football extravaganza are the strangest of bedfellows. Where the city of Atlanta host to several well-attended events, including Georgia Tech's season opening football game, and Atlanta Black Gay Pride. The weekend's two largest events, Dragon Con and the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, happen only a few blocks away from each other, essentially taking over the downtown area from Thursday to Monday when the mass exodus begins. If you mention College football to a Dragon Con attendee depending on their social pariah status will either flinch or smile.

The Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game

Is the season-opening game over Labor Day weekend bringing to Atlanta. Thankfully con goers are spared from the Chick-fil-A Bowl and only have to deal with the Kickoff Game.

In Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game style, both games will include their own tailgate and cook-off events as well as their own FanZone events with the traditional team walks to keep fans entertained over the 48 hours of football frenzy.

This "frenzy" will surely inspire much love and brotherhood between the groups of football fans and the con goers.
