Bob and Carl are a pair of puppet characters created by Michael Goodwin. Making their convention debut in shorts aired in 2010 on Dragon*ConTV, Bob and Carl were instant hits among convention attendees. This led to appearances at other conventions, such as GMX, Momocon, and many others.

The premise behind the Bob and Carl shorts is that the duo are janitors specializing in the cleanup of hotels after Dragon*Con and other Sci-Fi conventions. The shorts are a view at the working chit-chat of the pair while they clean. Topics range from commentary on Steampunk, how George Lucas has ruined childhoods and sold it back to them on Blu-Ray, or just rocking out to Sci-Fi theme music.

The puppets were constructed by Beau Brown. Along with Beau, Matt Niche provides voices as well as the actual puppeteering.
