Program Guide abbreviation CSTM

The costuming track focuses on Costuming at DragonCon. Here, you will find many panels on costuming, including designing and making costumes as well as props. This is also home to several costume contests including the Friday Costume Contest, Dragon-After-Dark, and The Masquerade.

Panels

Panels generally range form sewing to corsets to chainmaille to casting. A tentative schedule can be found on the Tentative Schedule Grid. The schedule with descriptions can also be found on their website. Panels are typically held in the Marriott.

Contests and Shows

The Friday Costume Contest is held on Friday and is strictly a costume contest. Professionally judged, no skits. The Dragon after dark contest is geared towards an older crowd with "adult" costumes. The Masquerade is the grand blowout with costumes and skits. The Fashion Show is an opportunity for dealers and exhibitors to show off their costuming goods to Dragon*Con cosplayers and costumers. Costume contests are held in the Hyatt. The Fashion Show is held in the Sheraton.
